Tasked with taking down Al Capone, a group of men prove to be untouchable as they quickly dismantle Capone’s operations. Things are going good until a couple Tommy guns prove otherwise.
Pros
This is a well-acted, compelling story. It’s set in an interesting era and is led by great performance from Kevin Costner, Sean Connery and Robert De Niro. As far as the length of the film, I found that to be perfect. It wasn’t too long and it wasn’t too short. I might not love learning about this era in history classes, but I sure do love movies set in this era.
Cons
Despite being very well-rounded, it’s still missing that little something that makes me want to go back and watch it again and again. It’s the kind of movie that I’m glad to have seen and plan on seeing it again in the distant future.
Fun Fact: De Niro found Capone’s former tailors and had them make him suits that were identical to Capone’s.

It was a fun movie to watch with the great cast it had. Good review.
Thanks.
I have to agree, it’s missing that hint of epicness that The Godfather and Goodfellas had.
Yeah, it’s weird. I loved the movie but it didn’t make me want to watch it again, which is typically what a movie needs to do to make me give it a 5.
Exactly, I always think…if Goodfellas and the Untouchables were both on TV, I’d go with Goodfellas. I think I’ve seen the Untouchables once while Goodfellas maybe 40 times.
I agree.
Fun to watch, just not the masterpiece I thought I was expecting when I first saw it. Maybe I’m due for a rewatch? Good review anyway, Austin.
Yeah, you might like the movie more since your expectations won’t be so high. That happens to me a lot.
Fantastically fun film
Yeah.
