The Untouchables (Film Review) [23 of 200]

UntouchablesThePlot

Tasked with taking down Al Capone, a group of men prove to be untouchable as they quickly dismantle Capone’s operations. Things are going good until a couple Tommy guns prove otherwise.

Pros

This is a well-acted, compelling story. It’s set in an interesting era and is led by great performance from Kevin Costner, Sean Connery and Robert De Niro. As far as the length of the film, I found that to be perfect. It wasn’t too long and it wasn’t too short. I might not love learning about this era in history classes, but I sure do love movies set in this era.

Cons

Despite being very well-rounded, it’s still missing that little something that makes me want to go back and watch it again and again. It’s the kind of movie that I’m glad to have seen and plan on seeing it again in the distant future.

0045Fun Fact: De Niro found Capone’s former tailors and had them make him suits that were identical to Capone’s.
